To be eligible for assistance, individuals must be currently incarcerated in Georgia and demonstrate a significant need for parole. This includes older individuals or those with serious health conditions.
Our Selection Criteria
Our selection criteria highlight the essential qualifications that pave the way for eligibility for parole, opening doors to renewed hope and second chances.
Of paramount consideration in our selection process is the lack of risk to society by a parolee's release.
At least 60 years old at time of application or expected parole review or otherwise have a compelling case for parole
Eligible for parole within 24 months or already denied and awaiting reconsideration
Served at least 15 years
Struggling with major medical issues or age-related needs
Preferably, convicted of a nonviolent crime (not recent or serial offenses)
Evidence of substantial rehabilitation, compliant behavior, and low risk of recidivism
Participation in rehabilitation activities
Recommendations from prison staff or program leaders
Have a realistic plan for reentry
